Anchoring notes from
a death doula + grief tarot reader

because life work is death work is life work is death work is life work is death work is life work...

So we need to talk about death...

We weren't always so afraid of it.

It used to be a part of everyday life. We all go through it one day, but so many avoid even thinking about it. As a result...

  • we can't support each other through loss
  • we miss opportunities to make important choices
  • we don't communicate our needs, wishes, and gratitude
  • we won't live a full and intentional life

You are so brave.

Even finding this page means that you had the courage to look for something most don't. That if we talk about death and get to know it as a friend ...

  • we stop being afraid
  • we learn to care for ourselves and our community
  • we cultivate better relationships
  • we know ourselves better

So thank you for being here. Together, we'll begin lifting the taboo around death.

We will learn from the end of life, develop a healthy relationship with mortality, and build capacity and resources to support ourselves and our communities.

Who are you, Sol?

I'm a trained death doula and an experienced grief tarot reader

  • As a death doula, I am a companion to the dying, trained by the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) to hold space and provide support for those at their end of life.
  • As a grief tarot reader, I help process loss and navigate crossroads. I follow Soul Tarot, a framework designed for harm reduction, inclusivity, and being trauma informed.

I'm here to share my learnings and to build with you.

I'm so glad you are here.

Sol
